Overview
Shear Pump is a high-shear mixing pump designed to rapidly hydrate and disperse bentonite and polymers in drilling fluid preparation. Produces stable, fully-yielded mud in minutes rather than hours.
Hydration Efficiency
Shear rate: >150,000 s⁻¹. Bentonite yield: >90% hydration in single pass. Mixing rate: 80–120 kg/min bentonite. Eliminates pre-hydration tank requirement.
Design
Multi-stage shear rotor-stator assembly. Stainless steel wetted parts. Mechanical seal with external flush. Hopper with dust collection port. Explosion-proof motor 37–75 kW.
