Overview
Tank Bottom Valve (mud tank drain valve) is flange-mounted directly on the tank floor or lower sidewall for complete drainage and quick isolation of mud tanks, trip tanks, and process compartments. The full-bore design prevents solids bridging; the quick-opening closure allows total tank emptying between wells or during cleaning.
Types & Sizes
Types: plug/gate/diaphragm style drain valves, wafer or flange connection. Sizes DN80–DN300 (3"–12"). Ending: full bore. Options: manual handwheel, worm gear, or pneumatic actuator with solenoid for remote tank draining.
Materials & Ratings
Body: cast carbon steel or stainless steel (SS304/SS316 for corrosive brines). Seat/seal: NBR, EPDM, or PTFE. Media: drilling mud, barite slurry, oily water. Solids content up to 30%, temperature -29°C to +120°C.
