The commissioning phase of the Republic of the Congo jet pump project is complete.
Following the equipment dispatch in July, Lifeng Energy field personnel returned to the well site at Pointe-Noire to complete installation, wiring, loop testing and production commissioning for the client's artificial-lift system. All parties witnessed the acceptance runs, and the system is now handed over for normal production operation.
Scope commissioned on site
The commissioned package covered the full processing chain of the jet pump production system:
Power-fluid and four-stage separators. The four separator vessels separate and grade the produced stream into the power-fluid, produced-oil and residual streams required by the jet pump circulation loop, with local gauge verification at each stage.
Downhole jet pump assembly. The downhole jet pump string was run, seated and pressure-tested; surface circulating parameters were tuned to the reservoir deliverability confirmed during commissioning.
Wellhead and flowline manifold. The BAC2-type wellhead assembly with its valve manifold was installed on the cement pad, hydraulically tested and tied into the flowline network.
Storage and pumping skids. The horizontal storage vessel and the engine-driven pumping skid were aligned, piped and load-run; transfer rates were confirmed against the design circulation volume.
Intelligent control cabinet. The control cabinet fitted with a variable-frequency digital panel, labelled selector buttons and an MCGS touch screen (bilingual interface) was commissioned; interlocks, alarm logic and duty/standby changeover were verified under load.
Commissioning highlights
Video recorded at the Pointe-Noire well site during the final acceptance runs shows the completed installation and the control interface in operation. The sequence was executed with the client's field team, and daily production parameters were recorded throughout.
The verified commissioning record closes the loop that began with the July dispatch and adds a full-cycle reference for Lifeng Energy downhole jet pump systems in West Africa: one team, from packaging and export to installation, commissioning and handover.
